Farmers markets
play a vital role in the food system and are a growing marketing tool
for small to medium sized farmers. Without the farmers market, the
existence of many small to medium-sized growers is threatened. In
Indiana, there are 73 registered farmers markets.
In
the last decade, farmers markets have increased by 60% nationwide,
giving clear evidence that consumers appreciate this unique shopping
experience and that vendors realize significant benefits from the
direct-to-consumer marketing opportunities.
If you are a vendor, and would like to participate in the American
Countryside® Farmers Market,
more than 400 spaces are available, with different sizes and items such
as refrigerated cases available.
